New SD Location
Those who know… The ATL-230’s SD card slot has been moved to a more accessible location.
AE Optimizer Sensor
The Auto Exposure Optimizer photo sensor reads changing light levels to predict how the camera should react. For example, during sunset, fully automatic cameras try to maintain brightness as the scene gets darker. Often, this results in flickering exposures and the camera trying to keep the scene bright. AE Optimizer realizes the scene is getting darker and the exposure is adjusted to follow the darkness with greatly reduced flicker.
Afidus Exclusive Feature - Image Alignment
Image alignment is a unique tool only found in Afidus cameras. Removing the card to download or changing batteries may require moving the camera. Image alignment builds a wireframe overlay based upon a snapshot taken before the camera was moved. With a visual reference it is easy to reposition the camera for seamless capture. Screen capture shown is from a 200S camera, the ATL-800 has the same functionality with a different app interface.
Power Pack Shutdown Avoidance
Afidus cameras conserve batteries by requiring very little power between frames and outside the daily schedule hours. Most external USB power packs automatically turn off when not actively charging. For example, using a power pack to charge a phone, once the phone is charged the power pack shuts down. In the past, users had limited options for always on power packs. The ATL-230 has Power Pack Shutdown Avoidance, allowing you to use any USB battery supply. There are three setting options which trigger the battery pack, preventing auto shutdown.
Exclusive New Feature
Remote Wi-Fi Activation
A solution for checking Inconveniently mounted cameras. There is no longer a need for a ladder or lift for a camera check.
The Afidus 230 camera will look for a wi-fi network at a scheduled time every day. This allows an onsite person to check the camera status, make setting adjustments and even download to their phone. The feature is also intended to allow convenient access to cameras placed in a location that may not be easily accessible. For example, checking battery status... rather than needing a ladder or aerial lift to access the camera, a status check could be done from the ground.
Afidus Exclusive Feature
Advanced File Protection
The Afidus camera offers piece-of-mind and confidence with a very unique file protection and recovery feature. The image shows SD card files, notice the bottom. There is an MP4 file with 481 MB of content, however, due to abrupt loss of power the MP4 file is corrupt. File recovery software will not repair the file, but there is no concern. Insert the card into the camera, turn the camera on and the associated IDX file will finalize and repair the MP4.
