Leofoto Urban LX-225CT Tripod with XB32Q Ballhead & BV-1R Video Head

Like all tripods in the Urban series from Leofoto, this model is particularly user-friendly. First of all, it is very compact with its maximum height of 137 cm and a minimum working height of only 18 cm. It carries 6 kg, but weighs only 1,050 g itself, including the ball head! The three legs of the LX-225CT consist of five segments. When pushed together, this results in a fantastically short pack size of 33 cm. 

The centre column can be removed:

• Use the tripod with the centre column for quick and easy height adjustment.
• Use the tripod without the centre column for greater stability.
• The centre column can also be mounted upside down for unusual shooting situations.

The centre column can be mounted or removed in seconds without tools !

The legs of this tripod are made of 10 layers of carbon fibre. The special diamond-shaped winding of these layers provides additional stability and vibration damping with the lowest possible weight!

The XB-32Q ball head with NP-35 quick release plate has a load capacity of 15 kilograms. The ball, with a diameter of 32 millimetres, is manufactured with a tolerance of 0.01 millimetres. This manufacturing precision, combined with the adjustable friction (resistance), allows smooth movement and secure clamping even of heavier weights. The ball head itself weighs only 298 grams.

The base diameter of the ballhead is 40 millimetres, and it connects to the tripod via a 3/8-inch photo thread.

The ballhead is equipped with an Arca-Swiss standard clamp and a quick release plate.

Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !

The attractive carrying bag is water-repellent and equipped with padded handles. The handles are positioned so that the centre of gravity is below the handles.

The carry case is equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap.  

BV-1R Video Head

The compact fluid video head BV-1R from Leofoto is a user-friendly tripod head for demanding bird watchers and nature filmmakers. This liquid-dampened video tripod head has two panorama plates that can be rotated through 360 °. The BV-1R can be combined with any tripod with a 3/8-inch tripod screw. For example, the BV-1R is the ideal lightweight tripod head for compact tripods, such as those with a levelling base. With the control arm you can take smooth pictures or simply follow a moving subject. The BV-1R video tripod head is made of aircraft aluminium and is black anodized to ensure high durability.
